Top business leaders and researchers agree: giving clear and constructive feedback is critical for improving performance, bolstering morale, helping people develop, ensuring staff retention, and ultimately, for getting the job done. This course will introduce the C.O.I.L.S. Feedback Model, and provide hands-on practice to show how this model can be used to help others continue behaviors that are positively affecting the team, as well as help others to stop behaviors that are negatively affecting the team. Additionally, participants will learn about how to craft and deliver their feedback message, critical do's and don'ts of delivering feedback, how to deal with people who consistently get defensive, and how to receive feedback professionally without taking it personally. Giving and receiving feedback effectively is a skill that requires constant attention, and because of this, this course will serve as the foundation of the CORE Leadership Series.
