Leading a Diverse and Inclusive Workforce
This half-day course, designed for leaders, provides an overview of diversity considerations for the modern workplace and provides tools for creating a consciously inclusive culture at UCLA Health. Participants will uncover their unconscious biases and apply that self-awareness to create a more equitable and respectful workplace. Using case studies to highlight real-life diversity and inclusion issues, participants will explore the best courses of action to take to address issues fairly, and will leave class with greater confidence that their actions and decisions are in keeping with the boundaries of what is professional and reasonable at UCLA Health. Resources will be provided so that leaders and staff feel supported by the organization and know who to contact if they need further guidance around diversity and inclusivity decisions. Participants will identify communication strategies and best practices for creating a culture of inclusion that makes our work environment a safe and respectful place for all individuals.
This course is for managers and supervisors ONLY.
